See EWE At The Market
Come meet our local opening day donkeys, Olivia and Clarissa. JPO Productions will be spinning tunes from today and yesterday. Kids can plant with the Ledyard Gardening Club and listen to children’s librarian, Stacy Burt, read a story, and make a bookmark. Don’t forget April is back every week with her amazing balloon creations!
Breads and Spreads
“There is not a thing more positive than bread” – Russian author Fyodor Dostoevsky. From sourdough and take and bake to sweet breads and gluten-free, the market has it all. Don’t forget all the tasty dips and toppings to go with it! Kids will have fun making butter, and families can picnic on the green while listening to the acoustic duo of Jj Muzak.
A Little Bit Country
YEE-HAW! Come and join the hoedown! We are excited to announce Nick Bosse will be performing for the first time!! A native of North Stonington, Nick performs acoustic country music from icons of the yester-year and today, including some of his own original music. Family fun includes cowboy and girl hats, along with decorating a horseshoe and April’s balloon creations.
Ledyard Loves Sweets! This is the sweetest market of all! Highlighting all of our sweet treat vendors. Cupcakes, cookies, Italian Ice and ice cream, donuts, and so much more, including our newest treat vendor Ricky’s Bake Shop, making delicious homemade gluten-free treats. Ledyard Rotary’s DJ Larry Erhart will be spinning the sweetest tunes from over the decades, while kids can listen to the story of Cotton Candy Clouds and make a lollipop craft.
Magic & Wine
Come enjoy the wine and all things that pair well with it! Staehly Winery will be selling their delicious varieties of fruit wines and cider, along with many vendors perfecting pairings such as Yalla Organics hummus and Smith’s Acres’ fruits. Discover the amazing card artistry with the walk-around magician, Magic by Matt, and local favorites Ben Freiert and Jeff Lewis will be making their only market appearance this year, playing their smooth, acoustic tunes. Check out the kids’ booths to see what’s new!
Red, White, & Berry
A Berry Excellent Market! It’s berry season, and the market will celebrate nature’s sweet and juicy candy. Granny’s Pie Factory will be selling their delicious blueberry and mixed berry pies, Chet’s Italian Ice with their berry ices, and Smith’s Acres and Hidden Brook Gardens will be selling various delicious berries, including ripe, red strawberries! You're Bacon Me Crazy
DID SOMEONE SAY BACON? Yeah, we did! One of our favorite markets, celebrating the best of bacon! Broad Brook Acres, a market sponsor, will be bringing the best bacon and pork products found! Fresh from their humane-raised pig farm in Preston. JPO Productions will be spinning tunes that won’t be “BACON” your heart. Curb your bacon cravings with a bacon pizza from Frank’s Gourmet or a bacon-topped burger from Munchie’s food trucks. Have April make you a perfectly pink piggy balloon or make a clothes pin pig at the kid’s tent.
Barnacles and Buccaneers
AVAST ME HEARTIES! Come to the children’s tent and grab a pirate hat and patch! Our pirates will be walking around the market, searching for vendor’s booty and taking pictures with ye Scallywags. The Niantic Children’s Museum will be here with the UNDER THE SEA program, which includes a touch tank for everyone! Pirate Bucko, Nick Bosse, will be performing while walking the plank!
